Visits for Residents of PioneerCare Center:
Visits are currently permitted for residents.
While visits are permitted, the following guidelines should be followed:
Planning Your Visit
Please read the following information and if you have questions, call 218-998-1500 Monday-Friday between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm.
While reservations are normally no longer required, it’s helpful to call ahead to ensure the resident is available and prepared for your visit.
Number of Guests and Visit Length
Your visit will be limited to the resident’s room. If everyone in the room is fully vaccinated, you may choose to visit without masks and without physical distancing. Otherwise, if you are not fully vaccinated and/or in other parts of the building, please wear your mask and practice physical distancing measures between yourself and other residents and staff.
PioneerCare Center must limit the number of visitors in the building at any given time. Each resident may have up to 4 guests visit together. Each household can allow 5 residents to host visits at the same time. Because of this, please keep your visit within a reasonable time so others have the same opportunity to visit with their loved one.
You’ve Arrived
When you first arrive, you will need to prescreen, take your temperature, wear a mask, and sanitize your hands at the building entrance. Two types of name tags are available at the kiosk with identifiers to indicate whether you are fully vaccinated or not fully vaccinated.
PioneerCare encourages all visitors and staff to voluntarily disclose their vaccination status. If you do not wish to disclose your vaccination status, that is fine. Simply adhere to infection prevention guidelines for unvaccinated persons by wearing a mask and practicing physical distancing measures in all areas of the building.
Once you’ve checked in, then proceed directly to the resident’s household. You will need to visit the pre-screening kiosk each day you visit.
Arriving at the resident’s household, you will need to sign in on the visitor log, record your name, time of arrival, and your phone number in case we need to reach you later.
Coming and Going
Residents who are fully vaccinated may leave the building for medical and non-medical purposes without quarantining upon their return. Newly admitted residents no longer require quarantine. Residents with a positive COVID test result or a high-risk exposure will still need to quarantine for 14 days.
Please see Protocols Shared by All Locations for more details.
We have a designated COVID unit where we isolate and cohort residents while they recover from a laboratory confirmed case of COVID-19. Visits with residents in the COVID unit are restricted.
