Visits Return to Care Center with Changes
PioneerCare Center resumes outdoor visiting for residents starting Thursday, August 6. On this first day, the visiting hours will be from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. After that, beginning on Friday, August 7, visiting hours will be 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday-Friday.
Visits may be scheduled by phone by calling 218-998-1500 during office hours, Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Reservations should be made at least 24 hours in advance. The receptionist will ask for the names of guests who are planning to visit.
All visits will take place at the south parking lot, between the care center and Pioneer Cottages, with two visiting stations available. Guests should enter the driveway just beyond main entrance drive, south of the stone “PioneerCare” sign.
A screener will be present at the south parking lot for check-in and screening of guests, and to assist as necessary. Visits will be up to 15 minutes in length and scheduled every half hour. Since visits will be limited to weekdays, and to two visiting stations for now, 15-minute visits will accommodate more visits per day.
Sharing of food or other items will not be permitted. Adherence to wearing of masks, social distancing, and other infection control guidelines will be required of all visitors and residents as provided by the Minnesota Department of Health. More information about outdoor visits at PioneerCare are available here.
